Based in Charlottetown, the Insurance Company of Prince Edward Island (ICPEI) is a Canadian insurer offering home, auto and commercial insurance solutions. Our products are sold exclusively through a network of brokers in Canada.

Your role
Reporting to the AVP Information Technology, the IT Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support for a full range of business technology, including computer systems (hardware and software), network infrastructure, telecommunications circuits, mobile devices, telephone systems, and audio-visual equipment. This is an in-office position in Charlottetown.
What you bring to the position
· Azure certification or college degree in IT infrastructure discipline
· Minimum of 5 years active work experience in a corporate environment
· Strong knowledge of AD, Azure cloud, O365, Win Servers, Citrix setup and configuration
· Financial / Insurance industry experience is an asset
· Bilingual (French/English) an asset
· Ability to work within tight deadlines
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
· Ability to communicate across a broad spectrum of users
· Versatility. Team spirit. Troubleshooting skills. Fast learner.
What you will do
- Provide support to both on-site and remote workforce
- Prepare and repair end user hardware (PC, laptop, phone, networking, connectivity) in a 100% Windows environment
- Independently assess reported problems or failures using diagnostic methods and tools, determine the likely cause and take appropriate action to resolve in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other resources (both internal and external)
- Understand system interdependencies and avoid unintentional interruption of services during troubleshooting and problem resolution
