JOB PURPOSE
The Speech Language Pathology Supervisor is responsible for supervising the delivery of assessment, consultation and rehabilitation services for individuals with communication and/or swallowing disorders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Must be registered and a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists and eligible for membership with the Speech Language Pathologists and Audiology Canada (SAC).
- Must have three years of related experience.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Speech Language Pathology Supervisor is responsible for:
- Assigning, overseeing, reviewing and evaluating service delivery
- Planning, directing and evaluating therapy programs and services
- Providing staff orientation and coordinating staff development programs
- Serving as a clinical practice leader
- Developing and/or ensuring compliance with standards, policies and procedures
- Coordinating or participating in student placements
- Performing the work of speech language pathologist
