The Ministry of Finance, Client Service and Compliance Branch, requires confident individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of accounting and auditing principles to fill two Business Auditor positions.

The Revenue Division of the Ministry of Finance is Saskatchewan's primary tax collection agency. The Client Service and Compliance Branch is responsible for the administration of several provincial consumption tax programs, as well as processing rebates and refunds, and administering various grant and incentive programs to ensure timely and accurate financial benefits for tax clients.

Working within a team of Business Auditors, these dynamic positions handle the review of applications for various grant and incentive programs, as well as phone and email inquiries from program clients. In addition, these positions have the opportunity to research new and emerging trends to provide input to policy and process decisions, which contribute to ensuring businesses and clients can understand and benefit from the province’s grant and incentive programs.

We are seeking two detail-oriented and analytical individuals that thrive on taking initiative, have the ability to interpret and apply legislation, and proactively identify opportunities to address and communicate policy and procedure challenges. This may be the opportunity for you if you possess strong verbal and written communication skills to provide explanations, rulings, and information to program clients.

The knowledge and abilities required would typically be obtained through the completion of an Accounting Diploma or Business Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, supplemented with relevant work experience.

Prospective candidates with required education outside of Canada are strongly encouraged to obtain either an ICAS Assessment Report from www.icascanada.ca or a Credential Evaluation and Authentication Report from www.wes.org, including it with your application. This will aid in ensuring that your qualifications are appropriately evaluated and considered in the application process.
