Position Summary
The IT Support Technician is responsible for all technical support issues ranging from end user support to the ongoing administration of IT infrastructure. They provide hands-on IT service management support activities, including troubleshooting technical issues, provisioning, and de-provisioning new users, collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to ensure the smooth operation of services. The IT Support Technician will play an important role as our first contact with Agency employees in the resolution of IT support issues.

Hourly Rate/Salary
Minimum $24.95 to maximum $30.36 per hour; salary commensurate with education and experience

Qualifications
- Two (2) year college diploma in computer science, information technology, information systems, or relevant field
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in an IT support role covering both end user and system infrastructure support
- ITIL Certification, Microsoft 365, CompTIA A+ preferred
- Proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, to prepare knowledge-based articles and other technical documentation
- Excellent knowledge of ITIL and ITSM best practices
- Experienced in providing support, advice, information, and assistance in the use of software applications, hardware, and technology services
- Experience with Office 365 administration
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure support would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, with a willingness to contribute and lead in the culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events for clients and their families/caregivers, colleagues, other community members and yourself
- Demonstrates professionalism in dealing with highly confidential information and situations
- Successful applicants will be required to provide:
- Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
- A valid Ontario driver’s license and use of a reliable motor vehicle; insurability on Agency vehicle insurance policy
- Clear Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search
- Preference will be given to bilingual (French/English) candidates
