About the Job

Reports to the Business Operations Manager. This individual will oversee the operations of Walker Environmental's transfer assets in Burlington. You may be required to perform duties and accept responsibilities that are not included in the following list as required.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manages all activities related to operations and development of division’s services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
  • Manages current and projected volumes being handled in facilities to maximize quantities while remaining within identified limitations
  • Monitors and responds to division’s operating equipment and facilities needs
  • Develops and implements operational plans for equipment use and material placement
  • Plans and directs placement of waste and daily cover materials; utilization of equipment; and location of roadways and pads
  • Develops operation and capital budgets and monitors variances on a monthly basis
  • Assists in business planning and strategy for short and long term goals
  • Identifies approvals and/or permits which may be necessary to complete capital projects
  • Develops and implements pricing policies and sales budgets; and advises sales staff regarding unusual situations

Here’s What You Need

  • Minimum high school diploma, plus an additional three year college diploma
  • Greater than seven years but less than or equal to ten years of construction management and administration experience.
  • G Class Driver's license with a clean abstract
  • Keeps accurate records.
  • Professional manner, tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with colleagues, including senior management.
  • Advanced levels of customer service, interpersonal and communication skills to promote and foster relationships with existing and potential customers and industry associates.
