About the role
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team at a busy Ford dealership. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in accounting and a strong interest in the automotive industry. This is a permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting for car deals
- Preparing daily deposits
- Preparing and posting daily EFT entries to settle manufacturer transactions
- Confidently learning and navigating dealership software
- Maintaining various detailed schedules associated with car deals
- Performing other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
- Reporting directly to the Controller
Applicant Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required (automotive dealership experience preferred but not mandatory)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Prior office experience is essential
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team—this is essential for success in the role
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliable transportation (the dealership is located outside Windsor and is not accessible by public transit)
