About the Opportunity
Under the direction of the Food Service Supervisor, the Senior Cook is responsible to cook and collaborate within a team environment within the facility. Assist with the production of menu choices which meet the departmental standards for patient service and responsible for maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade XII or equivalent
- Certified Journeyman Cook
- One (1) year experience preferred
- Food Safety Certification
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets preferred
- Ability to deal with patients in a courteous, helpful manner
- Physical capabilities to perform duties of the position including heavy lifting, withstanding, demands of walking and standing during shift.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Competencies in other languages preferred; French an asset
Please Note: Frequent physical demands include extensive standing, repetitive motion, awkward positions and lifting
Hours
- Casual Relief
Compensation and Benefits
$23.45 - $26.21 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. (Permanent and Long Assignments only)
