The location in Thunder Bay, (Ontario, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Industrial Laborer, Thunder Bay. This job is full-time permanent.
Overview:
Reporting to the Sawmill / Planer Supervisor, you will be part of a results-oriented team whose members are encouraged to exceed expectations.
Your Challenges:
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of certain areas of the factory
- Ability to perform repetitive, manual tasks for extended periods of time, including, but not limited to, piling lumber, standing for long hours, walking, shoveling, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs
- Experience with and/or around manufacturing machinery and equipment
- Ensure that product quality meets our standards and customer requirements
- Comply with our health, safety, and environmental standards
- Other duties as assigned
Your Profile:
- Grade 12 High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
- An uncompromising approach to safety for yourself and the team
- Effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating 4-days-on/4-days-off schedule
- Reliable transportation to and from the Thunder Bay Sawmill (156 Darrel Avenue, Thunder Bay, ON)
Our Offer:
- Base salary of $30.32 per hour, with night shift addition of $.75 per hour
- Overtime hours and Sundays paid at time and a half
