Parking Attendant (Aud)
(Temporary Part Time for approximately 12 months)

Overview
Seeking dedicated Parking Attendants to provide exceptional customer service, lot and crowd management, and parking-related sales and services at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex (Aud). Ideal candidates will ensure smooth traffic flow and assist patrons with their parking needs during events.
Responsibilities
- Traffic Control: Manage traffic entering and exiting parking lots, and monitor parking options and access.
- Customer Assistance: Provide directions and general event and building information to parking lot customers, assess patron needs, and communicate clearly.
- Traffic Flow: Keep traffic moving smoothly and assist customers who have difficulty exiting the parking lot.
- Parking Lot Patrol: Patrol the parking lot and report problems to appropriate staff (e.g., vehicles running, lights left on).
- Incident Reporting: Fill out incident reports as required.
- Team Collaboration: Take direction and deployment from the Aud Management Team.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Equivalent to partial secondary school education (completed grade 10 at minimum) with at least one month of related experience.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Physically able to perform the essential duties of the position in all outdoor conditions and weather.
- Teamwork: Ability to work in a team environment and accept direction.
- Manual Labor: Ability to perform some manual labor with prolonged walking/standing/being outdoors.
- Reliability: Demonstrated reliability, positive attitude, and good employment record.
Please Note: Hours of work include days, evenings and weekends between September and May, as required up to 24 hours per week.
