We are currently recruiting for the following role, which may be based in any one of our offices:
Commercial Real Estate Leasing Paralegal Essential Functions
- Provide intermediate to senior level Paralegal support to our Commercial Real Estate team nationally, including but not limited to drafting leases, offers to lease, letters of intent, amendments, extensions renewals, assignments subleases, expansions, surrenders, rent deferment agreements, area licences, indemnity agreements, estoppels, parking agreements, non-disturbance agreements.
- Oversee preparation of lease summaries for clients and purchase/sale/loan transactions with a leasing component.
- Prepare and track critical dates and projects.
- Perform land title and due diligence searches.
- Prepare diligence reports regarding leased real properties.
- Communicate with various stakeholders including clients, landlords and tenants.
Qualifications:
- Intermediate to senior level experience as a Commercial Real Estate Leasing Paralegal.
- Proficient with Microsoft office and the various online forms and databases for the applicable provincial land title office (at a minimum, Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario), including registration requirements and e-filing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond to deadlines.
- The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, as well as contribute to a strong team dynamic.
Salary range $80,000-100,000 per annum.
