Job Description We are currently looking to hire a BRANCH MANAGER for our London, ON client.
The Branch Manager plays a key leadership role by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service and parts departments, while fostering strong customer relationships and supporting regional business objectives.
Job Description Although no two days are exactly the same, you can expect to be involved in a range of tasks including:
- Supporting the Service Writer with queries related to work orders, technician assignments, payroll, and customer service
- Assisting Parts Technicians with inventory management, parts ordering, and shipping/receiving challenges
- Coordinating with field and in-shop technicians to monitor job progress
- Analyzing operational reports such as staffing levels, budgets, and P&L statements
- Aligning branch-level strategy with direction from the regional leadership team
- Conducting customer follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback
- Working with HR on staffing, employee relations, performance evaluations, and corrective actions
- Leading safety initiatives and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Parts & Service teams through goal setting, coaching, performance evaluations, and identifying training needs
- Collaborate with HR to recruit, onboard, and support new team members
- Develop and execute branch objectives that align with broader business goals
- Track and report on performance metrics regularly to leadership
- Manage departmental profitability by analyzing expenses, sales data, and inventory controls
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workplace
- Oversee facility and equipment upkeep and maintain all documentation for compliance
- Resolve customer and vendor issues efficiently and professionally
- Promote high standards of customer care through regular outreach and follow-up
- Identify new business opportunities to support regional growth in parts and service
- Represent the organization at relevant training sessions and industry events
- Approve invoices, quotes, and department expenditures as required
- Maintain accurate inventory records and collaborate with the distribution center to ensure supply levels meet customer demand
- Participate in additional tasks and projects as needed
Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Licensing
- Post-secondary education in Business, Automotive, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Trade certification such as Heavy Equipment Technician or Truck & Coach Mechanic is an asset
- Valid drivers license with a clean record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening
Experience & Skills
- 4+ years in a leadership role within parts, service, or branch operations in a heavy equipment, industrial, or agricultural setting
- Demonstrated experience managing P&L and achieving financial goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
- Familiarity with service and inventory management systems
- Proven success in team development, business planning, and client relationship management
