Your Missions Purchasing Manager

Guelph, ON

The Purchasing Manager in Canada leads all spend categories across our Canadian operations. This includes, but is not limited to: Direct Materials, Indirect Production Services, Indirect Non-Production Services.

This role is responsible for building and executing category roadmaps aligned with the company's business objectives, identifying cost-saving opportunities, mitigating risks, and driving value through supplier relationships and internal collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage all purchasing categories across Canada.
• Define and implement sourcing strategies and roadmaps to support business goals.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management for key categories.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments (Production, finance, operations..) to understand needs and ensure alignment.
• Monitor market trends, analyze spend data, and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Partner with Finance to ensure budget adherence, compliance, and value tracking.
• Contribute to supplier risk assessments and performance reviews.
• Support global or regional initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering
• 3+ year track record in a mature purchasing organization
• Experience in sourcing over several categories (CAPEX/OPEX, Services, raw materials)
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently
• User centric approach: pedagogy, communication wants to help
• Must be a team player
