Job Posting: Experienced Welder – TWIN Equipment, Ottawa Location: 3091 Albion Road North, Ottawa, ON Position Type: Full-Time TWIN Equipment is currently looking for an Experienced Welder to join our team in Ottawa. If you're a skilled tradesperson with a passion for working with heavy-duty equipment and a strong background in welding, this is the opportunity for you! As a welder at TWIN Equipment, you’ll be part of a dedicated team building and customizing heavy equipment for clients across Canada. Based at our Ottawa facility, you’ll work on high quality fabrication, repairs, and assembly of truck bodies and specialized equipment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, values teamwork, and enjoys hands-on, rewarding work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: • Perform MIG welding and fabrication on truck bodies, custom equipment, and metal components. • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders. • Measure, cut, and prepare materials using various tools and machinery. • Ensure welds meet company quality and safety standards. • Assemble metal structures and sub-assemblies with accuracy and precision. • Inspect finished products and make adjustments or repairs as needed. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. • Collaborate with other team members including mechanics, technicians, and engineers. • Follow all health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE. • Participate in continuous improvement and production efficiency initiatives. Requirements: • Proven experience in the installation of heavy-duty equipment, with a strong understanding of upfitting processes. • Must have your own basic tools for installation work. • Comfortable working with welders, torches, grinders, drills, and other power tools. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Strong attention to detail, ensuring high standards of work and safety. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Aluminium and steel welding experience. Work Schedule: • Monday to Friday • 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Thursday • 6:30 AM to 2:45 PM Friday • Every 2nd Friday OFF Compensation and Benefits: • Hourly wage: $22 to $30 per hour, based on experience. • Full benefits: 50% covered by the company, including health, dental, and vision. • RRSP: Company contribution of up to 1.5% of your annual salary after a 3-month probationary period. • Stable work environment: Join a growing company with long-term career potential.
