As a Senior Financial Analyst in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team focused on Revenue and Operational Support, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions. This role involves analyzing financial data, building robust models, supporting business decisions, and preparing reporting packages for internal stakeholders and external investors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to support strategic decision-making in a dynamic and growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of annual budgets and long-range financial forecasts, with a focus on revenue and operating costs.
- Prepare financial reports and business performance updates for the Private Equity funder, senior leadership, and Board of Directors.
- Analyze variances against budget and forecast with a focus on Revenue, highlighting trends and recommending actionable insights.
- Maintain and update financial models to support scenario planning, operational reviews, and investment decisions.
- Partner with operational teams to track expenditures and identify opportunities for cost optimization while supporting growth initiatives.
- Conduct financial analysis on revenue, pricing strategies, and profitability of services such as broadband, TV, voice, and enterprise offerings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including construction, network engineering, sales, marketing, and customer service to ensure accurate and aligned financial planning.
- Provide data and analysis to support infrastructure investment, business cases, and capital planning.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with financial standards and telecom industry regulations.
- Monitor risks related to budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to mitigation strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in financial planning, business planning, budgeting, and analysis, preferably within the telecommunications industry or a related sector.
- Minimum 3 years experience creating materials (presentations, regular reporting, etc.) for Executive leadership team
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting practices, preferably within the telecom industry.
- Proficient in financial management software and tools, such as NetSuite, etc. with advanced financial modeling capabilities.
- Superior skills in Excel and Powerpoint required.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, particularly during budget cycles or financial close periods.
