Schlegel Villages Support Office is located in Kitchener, Ontario. This role provides support to Villages located throughout southern Ontario, and geographical home base of candidates is flexible but regular travel will be expected.

Supported by the Senior Director of Hospitality and Food, the Hospitality and Food Specialist will provide operational oversight and mentorship to a dedicated group of Hospitality and Food leadership teams. The primary goal of the Hospitality and Food Specialist is to continually enhance the mealtime experience in all dining areas across the Village. They will serve as the first level of support for the assigned Village Hospitality and Food Leaders.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- be an experienced Hospitality and Food leader with proven leadership experience
- have the ability to lead through those you support
- demonstrate a passion for continually improving the dining experience while following the requirements of LTC and RHA Acts
- high competency working within the dietary technology programs – Mealsuite, PCC, etc.
- be excited to broaden your skills, knowledge and experience across our full continuum of mealtime experiences
It would be considered an asset if you also had:

A degree in Nutrition and/or membership in Canadian Society of Nutrition Management and/or a Red Seal Chef certification and/or a degree in Hospitality

Passion in being a servant leader who excels at growing and developing people as well as teams

Demonstrates strengths-based leadership by identifying and using each person’s unique strengths to build trust, show compassion, provide stability, and create hope
