We currently have an opportunity to join our Paste Department in the role of Paste Operator.

Reporting to the Paste Department Manager, the operator position will be responsible for operational duties which include, but are not limited to:

Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude, team player, willingness to learn

  • Must be physically fit to perform the job

  • Moderate to heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling of equipment, assembly of hoses, piping, pumps, and machines

  • Climb Stairs/Ladders and work at elevated heights

  • Attention to detail, ability to adapt, basic troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong mechanical experience and knowledge with capabilities to learn and operate machinery and match skills

  • Forklift experience

  • Ability to rotate through a two-week MAD shift rotation, midnights, afternoons, days.

  • Willingness and ability to work overtime when needed

  • Comfortable working in both hot and cold environments, comfortable working outdoors, all year round

  • CIP chemical circulation, production line cleaning, sanitizing as per SSOP, and production schedule

  • Ability to validate line cleanups and complete sanitation records

  • Ability to learn and understand all food safety procedures relating to job functions

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Miscellaneous duties as required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow daily roster to ensure all required tasks are completed within the allotted time frame.

  • Perform duties in a safe manner following the Company Health and Safety policies and procedures.

  • Ability to work in a team setting and help co-workers and supervisor as needed.

  • Capability to complete paperwork and record data based on job requirements.

Rate/Benefits:

$18.75/hour to start - $20.95 after 90 working days
Benefits after 30 working days and eligible for Pension enrollment after 12 months
