About the role

Summary: We are seeking a skilled and driven Special Project Manager to oversee the planning, organization, coordination, and execution of small/medium construction/renovation and refurbishment projects across our company. This is a high-impact role within the organization where you will act as the primary liaison between corporate leadership, property managers, design consultants, and contractors.

This role is ideal for professionals with a background in design, construction, or project management, preferably within the hospitality or commercial sector. You will be empowered to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver high-quality renovations on time and within budget.

This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in an environment where they can work independently, set their own priorities, and drive projects to successful completion without constant supervision.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Initiate projects in collaboration with other stakeholders, ensuring that project objectives align with the corporate strategic plan.
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of renovation projects across properties.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct site assessments and collaborate on design plans that align with brand standards and operational needs.
  • Prepare and manage project timelines, budgets, procurement, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Monitor site progress, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and conduct final inspections.
  • Provide regular status updates and project reporting to the executive team.

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in renovation, construction, or design project management (hospitality or commercial sector preferred).
  • Post-secondary education in construction management, interior design, architecture, or related field.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Solid knowledge of construction processes, design coordination, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Drafting skills an asset.
  • Ability to travel between property locations as required.
