About the role

Job Description

The Senior Director, Insurance Finance Reporting & Controls will be responsible for leading the finance reporting and controls function for the insurance business. This role will involve:

  • Overseeing the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Developing and implementing financial controls to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
  • Leading a team of finance professionals, providing mentorship and guidance.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA designation or equivalent.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
