As an Accounting Clerk, a typical day might include:
- Performing daily and month-end bank reconciliation for all bank accounts on a timely basis
- Processing employee reimbursement transactions into the accounting system in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
- Supporting corporate credit card program administration by ensuring timely submission of expense reports and preparing credit card expense data for month-end financial reporting
- Assisting the Senior Accountant in maintaining the accuracy of expense coding on a monthly basis by investigating potentially misclassified transactions
- Processing and recording vendor invoices in the accounting system, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal controls
- Preparing and posting general journal entries to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting
- Producing, validating, and distributing various reports and statements
- Monitoring and reporting daily bank cash balances to support accurate cash flow management and financial planning
- Supporting audit processes by providing requested documentation and sample selections to external auditors
- Managing stop payment requests for issued cheques, ensuring timely communication with the bank and accurate recordkeeping
- Serving as backup support on various accounting team functions, including: transacting staff discounts; printing month-end reports; scanning and depositing cheques; preparing vendor invoice payments; and other ad-hoc duties as required

Must haves:
- Accounting diploma or equivalent, combined with experience in an accounting environment, preferred
- Experience in the Epic Broker Management System, considered an asset
- Previous experience in a similar role, beneficial but not required
