Kells Academy is a private English school located in NDG, providing students with the opportunity to develop their skills in preparation for higher learning. We are seeking a talented Marketing Coordinator to enhance our outreach program and share our dedication to excellence and innovation.
The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for creating new content highlighting the school's achievements. You will drive our brand through compelling campaigns and engaging, eye-catching digital content. Use your creative freedom to contribute to our enrollment growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop weekly bulletins and internal communications, such as emails to parents
- Develop comprehensive marketing campaigns to highlight the school’s diverse programs and core values.
- Schedule and coordinate advertising campaigns for radio and print throughout the year
- Create engaging content and compelling visuals for various platforms, including print advertisements, brochures, newsletters, weekly bulletins, radio ads, and press releases in English and French
- Manage and consistently update the school website to ensure it is visually appealing and user-friendly.
- Develop and edit written and visual content for all social media channels (Instagram, Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to establish and maintain a strong online presence.
- Communicate with professionals, schools, and preschools, and distribute promotional materials for rapid and wide dissemination.
- Collaborate closely with the admissions team to create effective marketing materials and plan events that attract and retain students.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities for school growth.
- Analyze data to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make necessary adjustments for optimal results.
- Help plan and host a variety of school events, such as Open Houses, orientation sessions, Honor Roll dinners, arts festivals, alumni gatherings, fundraising events, and professional networking functions.
- Assist the Admissions Coordinator by responding to inquiries, conducting interviews, and meeting with prospective families.
- Ensure comprehensive photo and video coverage of significant school events throughout the year.
- Prepare and disseminate press releases covering key developments at the school
- Coordinate Yearbook Club activities and oversee the production of the annual yearbook
- Provide supply coverage for classes as needed
- Run a weekly Flex class for students from grades 7-11 (ie. Digital Media Flex)
Qualifications:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the marketing field, with a preference for experience within the education sector.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingualism (English/French) is a significant asset.
- Proficiency in digital marketing platforms and content management systems.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
- Demonstrated creativity, initiative, and attention to detail.
