Location : Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre
Status : Regular Part-Time
Rate: $36.90 - $50.35
Unit Summary
Diagnostic Services supports a high volume of diverse adult and pediatric patients and families, providing service within Radiology, CT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound and Interventional. Most areas within this Unit function 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
Position Summary
As a member of a Multidisciplinary Health Care team, co-ordinates, performs and evaluates Diagnostic Services examinations within the discipline of general X-Ray and CT, may support other modalities based on qualifications. As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered X-Ray Technologist coordinates, performs and evaluates diagnostic imaging examinations. Guides and directs clinical and technical associates and students in a teaching and research environment and provides patient care within the core values of respect, caring, innovation and accountability. Rotation through other modalities and sites based on qualifications and unit requirements maybe required.
Schedule Work Hours
Days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays (standby as required).
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved training program in Radiological Technology
- Current member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologist of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Current BCLS registration
- Experience working in CT
- Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment
- Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills
- Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced clinical environment
- Evidence of participation in ongoing education & professional development
- Membership in the CAMRT/OAMRT preferred
Proficiency in both Official Languages would be an asset.
