About the role
Description NYRC is seeking a highly-motivated, detail-oriented and reliable Medical Reports Reviewer to ensure that our reports are held to the highest standard. We are looking for a candidate who is a quick learner and has excellent computer skills to work with the Reports Team, to complete a detailed review of reports prior to releasing the customer report.
The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday 10:30am-6:30pm. Must be a Regulated Health Professional. Primary Duties The key functions of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Complete a detailed review of medical reports before submission to referral source for case details, inclusion of proper questions, clinical consistency, use of proper definitions from SABS/AMA Guides/policy definitions, spelling/grammar, consensus, and formatting
- Ensure report timelines are met and facilitate adherence to the timelines
- Generate a summary of multidisciplinary reports if required
- Communicate with assessors regarding feedback, questions, or clarification required
- Communicate with other internal departments to gather information as needed
Skills Required
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Working knowledge of the SABS regulations and related forms, including Minor Injury Guideline/Medical and Rehabilitation benefits, Specified Benefits is advantageous but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Detail-oriented, responsive, meticulous
- Excellent command of the English language (written and oral)
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, under pressure and maintain high quality standards
Qualifications
- Regulated Health Professional required
- Experience in reviewing Insurer’s Examination reports is advantageous but not required
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree,
