Job Title: Senior Accountant

Reports To: Director, Finance

Your Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Senior Accountant to support key accounting functions, including the month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and tax filings. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of accounting principles and play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Here You’ll Get To

  • Support the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Perform cash and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual reconciliations and support financial statement preparation.
  • Complete and reconcile sales tax filings (e.g., GST/HST) accurately and on time.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and assist with account analysis.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors.
  • Communicate with Finance leadership to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to optimize business outcomes.
  • Contribute to the successful launch of a new accounting system by participating in testing, training, and user support.
  • Support audits and respond to ad hoc financial reporting needs.

About You

  • CPA designation or in progress, preferred.
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles (ASPE, IFRS, and/or US GAAP).
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting software (SAP S/4HANA preferred).
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
