About the Opportunity

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as entry-level professionals in the IMIT field. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or those looking to start their careers in technology or digital transformation. Stream Identification:

This is a pool posting, and applicants may be matched to specific vacancies as they arise. We would like applicants to indicate the areas that best align with their skills and interests. There are immediate needs for junior cybersecurity analysts but other streams that may be in demand include:

  • Business Analysis
  • Systems Analysis
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Application Development
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Project Coordination
  • Health Information Management

Depending on the Stream, Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for applications, hardware and software issues.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and execution.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives by assisting in monitoring, planning for and responding to security incidents.
  • Contribute to AI projects by assisting in the testing and implementation of machine learning models.
  • Analyze and interpret data to provide insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Utilize industry best practice to support documentation management, governance, access, privacy, and security of health information.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Minimum 2-year diploma or university degree from post-secondary institution in information technology, information management, computer science, cyber security, data analytics, and/or health informatics. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and relevant 2 years’ experience.
  • Basic knowledge of programming, databases, and networking
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to change
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the province
  • Experience with clinical applications in a healthcare setting is an asset

Hours

  • Permanent, Full-time Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly

Compensation and Benefits

$27.46 - $34.32 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
