About the role
Some of what you will do:
This position is focused on coordinating, designing, reviewing and implementing of merchandise sets.
Specifically, You Will:
- Work with the DVP, Merchandising, Micro space planning Manager, and Category Management teams to develop planograms that appeal to how the customer wants to shop the category, are easy for stores to execute and maintain and prove to entice customers to purchase products.
- Create planograms using PC based space management software for all products in permanent categories and temporary display locations to maximize sales and optimize inventory investment.
- Incorporate department merchandise presentation standards, company financial objectives, category strategy and Merchandising/Vendor/Store input in the development of planograms.
- Partner with Category Management team to work within the defined micro space planning process and timelines, and ensure all key planogram elements (e.g. signage, demo units and fixtures) are delivered on time and on budget
- Recommend target inventory levels in accordance with department and company guidelines.
- Prepare store communications for operations in relation to planogram updates and additions. Respond to operation/store inquiries regarding all aspects of planogram implementation and issues
- Visit stores to get feedback on merchandise side of the business. Support store reflows, renovations and new stores initiatives through creation of planograms, updating of store layouts and maintenance of Planogram database.
Some of what you need:
- Post secondary education or equivalent work experience.
- Involvement in setting up planograms.
- Strong PC skills within a MS Office environment (Word, Excel, Access).
- Auto-Cad and Planogram software experience is an asset.
- Ability to influence and communicate as changes are required to plans and direction. Minimum 2 years retail experience.
