Job Title Senior Associate, Strategic Finance

Position Overview We are seeking a highly analytical, proactive Strategic Finance Associate. The role will leverage our operational and financial data to develop financial models and operational analyses that enable strategic decision-making at all levels of the organization. The Associate will report to the Senior Director, Strategic Finance and will collaborate with partners in Finance and across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and evolve long-range financial models
- Build and refine business-critical financial models, including balance sheet and cash flow statement
- Lead scenario planning to evaluate potential business outcomes and guide long-term targets
- Incorporate key business strategy objectives and KPIs into forecasting methodologies
- Develop bespoke financial and operational models to inform strategic decisions
- Address complex business problems through sourcing combining data from across the organization and building new analytical frameworks
- Act as thought partner to cross-functional partners in Finance and across the organization
- Advance competitive intelligence capabilities
- Design new metrics to enhance benchmarking and track relative financial and brand performance
- Monitor peer activity, industry trends, and market dynamics
- Translate complex analyses into clear, compelling presentations for communication to a variety of audiences, including senior leaders and board members
Let’s Talk About You
- B.A. in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, investment analysis, corporate development, or similar
- Significant experience building complex financial models and long-term forecasts (direct experience with three-statement modeling is a plus)
- Highly comfortable cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting data with strong attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to create structure in ambiguous environments
- Strong time management skills, used to juggling multiple projects simultaneously
- Collaborative working style and comfort engaging with stakeholders across functions and levels
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Willingness to relocate if not currently residing in Toronto
