LOCATION : Hybrid in North Vancouver Office

We are looking for a Manager for our Quality & Inspections team who brings proven leadership in managing inspection teams across utility and municipal infrastructure projects, with strong client management, operational, and project delivery skills – and most importantly aligns with our team core values: Safety, Wellbeing, Respect, Quality, Collaborate, Growth Mindset. This position is based out of our North Vancouver office and is responsible for leading a team of civil and electrical inspectors and overseeing inspection contracts for municipal and utility capital projects across BC. The team inspects the quality of construction by the client’s third-party contractors for compliance with published standards and design documents.

Responsibilities:
This work requires management of inspectors, while collaborating with internal project managers, technical leads, and corporate operations team as well as external client representatives, while reporting to our Executive team. The core responsibilities include:
- Lead and support a team of civil and electrical inspectors working across BC
- Oversee quality, safety, and training standards across inspection contracts
- Manage client relationships, including meetings, quotes, contracts, and issue resolution
- Monitor inspection team forecasts, timesheets, expenses, and payroll
- Track and report on financial performance and staffing needs for the Inspections Business Unit
- Oversee inspector hiring, onboarding, and development
- Help grow Maven’s inspection services through proposal writing, and for the right person, involvement in business development activities
- Contribute to internal planning, process improvements, and team strategy
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent would be an asset
- 10+ years of experience in utility infrastructure construction projects, including 5+ years managing a team.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven experience managing client-facing services, budgets, and team operations
- Comfortable using MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word) and time-tracking systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to walk a construction site in all weather conditions with typical hazards.
- Based in the Lower Mainland, with availability to work in the North Vancouver office 2+ days per week

Compensation:
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including skillset, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. The salary range for this role is from $100,000 to $130,000 per year.
