The incumbent is a member of the Mountain Maintenance team. The Manager, Lift and Attractions Maintenance sets the
cultural tone that creates revolutionary guest experiences while uniting their team around purpose and fun.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
-
Coordinates and oversees inspection, maintenance, and documentation of all lifts and attractions to maximize up time.

Plans, develops, and executes training for all team members focusing on safety, minimum process standards, and on the development of Apprentice Lift Mechanic and Apprentice Amusement Device Mechanic team members.

Implements and utilizes an Enterprise Asset Management system for all lift and attractions infrastructure.

Creates and executes a multi-year Lift Refurbishment Prioritization and Capital Plan.

Ensures compliance with TSSA and Z98 standards and codes.

Understands the 5 year Strategic Plan; executes annual tactics in collaboration with Director; communicates results and changes to appropriate audiences.

Contributes to annual departmental operating budgets as required; ensures expenses, labour scheduling and where applicable, revenues meet budgeted targets and makes adjustments as required; trains and communicates budget requirements to subordinate leaders to ensure monthly results are achieved.

Contributes to, executes and communicates the expectations related to the Business Unit Plans.

Based on defined expectations, ensures appropriate resources and develops training and communication for departmental service delivery and operations that create revolutionary guest experiences and achieve OKRs.

Ensures and advocates for the appropriate resources that deliver a highly productive, efficient environment with minimal downtime and that produces high quality product(s).

Promotes, develops, participates and delivers programming and training that unites employees around purpose and fun resulting in high employee engagement, retention and return rates.

Fosters a culture of collaboration between departments that achieves the company's mission and targets.
-
Promotes, develops, participates and delivers programming and training that ensures compliance with all legislated requirements and company policies and processes.

Ensures all documentation and training required by government agencies pertaining to risk and safety are in compliance, are completed and exceed minimum requirements.

Actively participates in the selection of subordinate leaders and front-line team members.

Represents Blue Mountain with external organizations, consultants, suppliers, customers, and special-interest groups as required.
WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?

Requires practical knowledge in developing, leading and executing processes

Typically has advanced knowledge and/or technical expertise in their own functional area
-
Requires a University degree or equivalent experience plus 5 years leadership experience.

Able to work indoors and outdoors

Primary schedule is weekdays, 830-5pm however our resort operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and leaders are required to be available during evenings, weekends and holidays based on business needs.
