Field Services Technician (Quebec - Remote)
(1 Full-Time Remote Permanent Position located in Quebec)

Our teams focus on building, testing, and repairing products, building, and integrating larger scale solutions, and providing both on-site and remote technical support to our customers. We are looking for a Field Services Technician to join our Field Services group in our pursuit to provide our customers with the highest quality products and world-class support.

What You’ll Work On
The Field Services team is responsible for seasonal travel to perform product installations, commissioning, and maintenance, along with a variety of sales and customer service responsibilities. This includes the following:
- Conducting on-site installation, maintenance or troubleshooting service visits while working closely with customers to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Collaboration and building close relationships with field service team members
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues in-house, on-site, over telephone, or email, including the potential for on-call after hours support for field sensors and other Campbell Scientific products.
- Review and updating of procedural, safety documentation and regularly scheduled inspections.
- Assisting with testing and configuring project/contract specific hardware
- Coordination of work with various subcontractors and project managers.
- Tracking and managing project time, expenses, equipment, and PPE
What We’re Looking For
- Completion of related post-secondary education or journeyman certification (For example: Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, etc.) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience with field / electronic instrumentation.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Strong mechanical skills, a basic knowledge of electronics, and a high level of technical troubleshooting ability.
- Possession of Class 5 drivers’ license, three years of driving experience, and a clean 3-year abstract showing zero moving violations within the last 30 days.
- Ability to travel extensively and work irregular hours including up to 12-hour days, and over weekends based on client needs.

Work Environment
This position involves mobile work using a computer, working in a light manufacturing environment, and mainly outdoor field work with potential exposure to wildlife. Frequent travel and outdoor work in inclement weather is anticipated, and the ability to work at hights, around water, and to work long irregular hours including nights, weekends, and extra hours based on project needs, is required.
Physical Requirements
This role requires physical strength, stamina, and endurance to perform duties that include lifting, moving equipment, working in variable weather conditions, as well as repetitive tasks in physically demanding conditions.
This role requires the ability to carry up to 85 pounds safely and being comfortable with working at heights.
