We are currently seeking an Environment Health and Safety Specialist to join our Saskatoon Manufacturing Plant for a one year term.

As part of the Environmental Health and Safety team this position assists in the managing of environmental, safety, and health processes and providing leadership for all matters related to employee safety and health. They will support manufacturing personnel to ensure that systems are in place to drive continuous improvement in employee safety programs.

In your role you will:

Create Customer Success:

By advising management on safety initiatives and performance.

Ensure a Safe and Healthy Workplace:

By enforcing safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Foster an Employee focused Safety Culture:

Through training and educating employees on safety practices.

The Qualified Candidate will have:

• A related post-secondary degree or diploma in Environmental, Health and Safety along with equivalent work experience would be an asset.

• Proficient in the use of as Microsoft Office.

The ideal Candidate will have:

• Experience as a safety professional in heavy industrial and manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and policies.

• Proficiency with technology and equipment used in safety and environmental inspections.

• Understanding of manufacturing facilities and machining processes.

• Knowledge of industrial and office ergonomics

• Ability to foster and stress the importance of a safety culture.
