We are looking for a Student-at-law to join our Legal team in our Montreal office! As a student, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties for the Legal Department.

Your Day as a Student-at-law Provide legal support to lawyers regarding litigation, corporate matters, contracts, and regulatory issues, including:

  • Preparing and maintaining various legal documents (e.g., contracts, pleadings, corporate certificates, and declarations).
  • Reviewing and editing legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal standards and templates.
  • Conducting basic legal research (under the guidance of a lawyer).
  • Assisting in the preparation of legal presentations.
  • Drafting basic correspondence and legal documents.
  • Organizing and maintaining legal files.

Assist In Case Preparation, Including

  • Collecting and organizing documents and evidence.
  • Preparing legal exhibits and memoranda.

Assist in responding to various internal and external document requests, including:

  • Collecting and organizing documents for bids, KYC, information requests, certificates, etc.
  • Preparing resolutions and affidavits (under the guidance of a lawyer).

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Currently enrolled in a college or bachelor’s degree in law or paralegal studies.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
  • Strong research skills.
  • Sense of organization and ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and in English as the candidate will be required to interact in English with stakeholders outside Quebec.
