ICD is currently seeking a Rock Truck Operator to support an oilsands reclamation project for a 3-to-4-month fixed term contract. The schedule for this position is a 14x14 rotation, working twelve 12-hour shifts for the duration of the project. Experience working with Rock Trucks with gates and on/near water is an asset.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate rock truck and perform tasks that may involve physical labour
- Assist in loading and unloading of trucks
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other minor maintenance work
- Complete all necessary daily paperwork. May include, but not limited to, daily logs, pre-trip and inspection logs, deliver receipts, vehicle inspection, permits, hours of service, etc.
- Assist other personnel across various job sites and other duties as requested
All employees must participate in, promote, and contribute to ICD’s Safety-First culture. This includes, but is not limited to, following Safe Work practices and procedures, attending safety meetings and toolbox talks, understanding and navigating our digital safety application (SiteDocs), completing FLRA’s, using PPE, inspection of vehicles, tools, and equipment, and more.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating rock trucks
- General knowledge of dumping and hauling procedures
- Working experience on or near water and/or in a marine environment is an asset.
- Safety first attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually when required
- CSO or CSTS-09 and OSSA certificate
- Willing to obtain any additional training certificates required for working on an oil site
Successful candidates must provide have following items prior to confirmation of their start date:
- Comprehensive alcohol and drug test clearance letter
- Copy of valid class 5 driver’s license
- Copy of clean 3-year driver’s abstract
- Copies of training certificates related to site-based work
