About the role
THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Carrier Group of Companies is a diversified Canadian lumber manufacturing company with operations situated in British Columbia and Saskatchewan. The Carrier Group is currently accepting applications for a Receptionist at our head office in Prince George, BC.
THE QUALIFICATIONS:
The Receptionist is an entry level role and is a great position for someone starting out in an administrative field. We are looking for someone who is able to work fulltime and will be punctual, organized and friendly with a proactive attitude. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work well with others and should be a motivated self-starter. They will need to think critically on their own and respond to change well.
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Welcoming and outgoing personality
- Confident working with formulas in Excel workbooks and Word documents
- Exceptional organizational and record keeping abilities
- Ability to think on your feet and make decisions
- Reliable with excellent time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and move between tasks effortlessly
THE DUTIES:
- Greet customers and direct inquiries to appropriate employees
- Prepare daily banking such as bill payments and cheque deposits
- Coordinates travel and accommodations for employees
- Receive, direct and relay telephone, email and fax messages
- Assist in the planning and preparation of meetings and conference calls
- Handle all incoming mail and distribute accordingly
- Assist with data entry and administrative tasks as assigned
- Maintain an adequate inventory of office and coffee supplies
This is a full-time, salaried position of $19.00 to $21.00 an hour depending on experience. A competitive industry benefits package is available.
