Senior Associate – Originations & Underwriting
$100,000- $120,000 + amazing bonus and benefits

Position Overview:
As a Senior Associate, you will play a critical role in analyzing, structuring, and supporting the execution of a wide range of commercial real estate financing transactions. You’ll work collaboratively across teams to deliver high-quality credit applications and support the full transaction lifecycle — from initial engagement through to funding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structure and assess a variety of mortgage transactions, including land loans, cost-to-complete and revolving construction loans, inventory loans, term loans, and servicing loans.
- Collaborate closely with Originators to prepare comprehensive Term Sheets and Deal Summaries to support internal credit and external investor approval processes.
- Draft and issue Letters of Intent (LOIs) and assist with internal credit applications for new lending opportunities.
- Liaise directly with borrowers to understand their objectives and ensure efficient transaction execution, exceptional client service, and timely closings.
- Coordinate with Underwriting and Portfolio Management teams to ensure all deal documentation is accurate and aligned with internal standards prior to funding.
- Stay current on market trends, borrower needs, and competitor offerings to identify growth opportunities and enhance deal quality.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to strengthen brand presence and expand market intelligence.
- Support new business development through market research and client targeting in partnership with the origination team.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Evaluate commercial real estate assets across various sectors including office, industrial, retail, residential, hospitality, and land.
- Under the guidance of the Director, draft robust Term Sheets / Deal Summaries incorporating disciplined underwriting, market research, and deal structuring.
- Assist in reviewing and refining Deal Summaries for investor presentations and credit submissions.
- Conduct due diligence and engage with brokers, borrowers, and industry professionals to validate assumptions and enhance market understanding.
- Perform detailed financial modeling and quantitative analysis on development and income-generating assets to assess transaction viability.
- Assess borrower creditworthiness through review of financial statements, net worth summaries, and credit reports.
- Identify risks and mitigating factors for each transaction, and provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Prepare and distribute underwriting packages to support investor syndication efforts and respond to investor inquiries as needed.
