We are looking for energetic, driven, and collaborative individuals to join our dedicated Municipal Law Enforcement team as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer Co-op for the July - Aug 2025 term.
Job Description:

Investigate and process by-law complaints concerning parking infractions and violations.

Enforce regulations and by-laws related to Parking, Clean Communities, & Parks.

Conduct daily patrol of assigned areas by vehicle, foot, and bicycle.
-
Gather evidence and appear in Court as a witness where required (this requirement may extend past the end date of your co-op contract).

Assist the By-law Department in the enforcement of various by-laws, including but not limited to Fence by-law; Sign by-law; Littering by-law; Noise by-law, and Animal Control by-law.

Assist Municipal Law Enforcement Officers as required.

Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:

Law and Security, Police Foundations or Bachelor of Human Services, Police Studies student

Previous experience in enforcement of Parking By-Laws an asset
-
Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
-
Experience dealing with the public in a customer service environment
-
Excellent communication/oral and written/organizational skills
-
Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
-
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
-
A valid class “G” driver’s license and use of vehicle is required.
-
Able to work outside in hot, wet and severe weather conditions.
-
Ability to participate in use of force training
