🚨 Pipeline Role: Interim Controller (12-Month Project | NetSuite Implementation)

Location: Toronto, Hybrid
Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
System Experience Required: NetSuite (Implementation & Optimization)
About the Opportunity:
We are building a pipeline of strong candidates for an upcoming Interim Controller engagement. This 12-month project will be critical in leading the accounting function through a NetSuite ERP implementation and ensuring the finance organization scales effectively during a period of change and growth.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced finance professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings strong technical accounting and system implementation experience, and can lead a team through transition with confidence and clarity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the accounting team during a full-cycle NetSuite ERP implementation .
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure a smooth system transition.
- Drive process improvements, financial systems integration, and month-end close optimization.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control best practices.
- Provide accurate and timely financial insights to executive leadership during the transformation period.
- Support audit and tax preparation activities as needed.
- Mentor and develop junior finance staff through organizational change.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience as a Controller or Senior Accounting Leader in a project-based or interim capacity.
- CPA Designation (or equivalent) is preferred but not required
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite , ideally including a full-cycle implementation.
- Strong technical accounting background (CPA preferred, but not required).
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a 12+ month transformation project .
- Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, FP&A, operations, and leadership.
- Excellent communication skills and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in high-growth or PE-backed companies.
- Background in change management or finance transformation initiatives.
- Multi-entity or international consolidation experience.
