We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Recycling Facility at 122 Arrow Road. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day plant operations, ensuring safety standards, maximizing efficiency, and driving performance across the facility.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of daily plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are consistently met
- Supervise, coach, and support a team of over 100 employees including supervisors and frontline employees
- Monitor production KPIs, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement process improvements
- Control labor, maintenance, and inventory costs while maintaining operational excellence
- Ensure full compliance with Ministry of Labour (MOL), Ministry of Environment (MOE), and internal policies
- Oversee logistics, scheduling, and load management to maintain service levels and plant efficiency
- Maintain accurate reporting of production, downtime, and inventory data
- Foster a strong safety culture and positive working environment focused on accountability and teamwork
- Identify and support staff development needs through training and performance management
What You Bring
- 5+ years of leadership experience in operations or plant management, preferably in the recycling or waste management industry
- A safety-focused leadership style that emphasizes compliance, risk mitigation, and building a strong culture of accountability across all areas of operation.
- Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
- Direct experience managing P&L responsibilities and making data-driven financial decisions
- Knowledge of production systems, material handling, and heavy equipment operation
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations (MOL/MOE)
- Experience analyzing and acting on operational data and KPIs
- Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills
- Valid G driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
