As a Clerk Courier within our Customer Service Unit, you will be responsible for performing a variety of courier and clerical duties for Records Services.
What will your typical day look like?
- Sorts, distributes and delivers by foot and by motor vehicle all in-coming mail/parcels and processes all out-going mail/parcels, including inter-office mail.
- Ensures an appropriate level of office supplies is maintained; shreds documents; prepares packages for various courier companies and processes registered mail.
- Operates and performs basic maintenance of postal machine.
- Collects and delivers submissions from PRP Forensic Identification Services to the Centre of Forensic Sciences and returns completed cases.
- Distributes uniform supplies from Quartermaster Stores to all divisions and bureaus.
- Assists with accepting and signing for deliveries in the Shipping/Receiving area; documents and distributes these incoming packages.
- Assists with the duties and responsibilities of the Clerk-Courier, Public Information and Clerk-Mail Shipper/Receiver.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

You are someone with:
- A High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of 6 to 12 months related experience required
- MS Outlook
- MS Word-preferred
- Basic keyboarding skills
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated physical ability to perform all activities
- Valid Ontario Driver`s Licence (Class G) with full driving privileges

The salary range for this permanent, full-time position is $46,211.00 - $67,947.00 per annum. The salary is complemented with a comprehensive benefit program, including employer-paid Health/Dental and Life Insurance; and the OMERS Pension Plan effective upon hire.
