Position Title: Research Administrator
Status: PT Admin, 6 month contract
Hours: 15 hours per week
Faculty/Department: Office of Research and Innovation
Campus/Location: North Campus, please note you will be required to work in office for the duration of this contract
Salary: PT Admin Hiring Range (Start $30.54 – Max $45.81)

About the Research Administrator Role:
Reporting to the Research Specialist, the incumbent will independently perform a wide variety of statistical and analytical tasks and projects to inform evidence-based decision making for the applied research project within the Office of Research and Innovation. Assignments may include conducting research, conducting statistical analyses, analyzing data for short-range and long-range planning, and applying quantitative and qualitative research methods, developing research protocols and processes, and dissemination of research work.
This NSERC-funded research project, led by the Centre for Innovation in Health and Wellness and supported by the Office of Research and Innovation at Humber Polytechnic, will examine the impact of precarious employment on the mental health and well-being of current international students in post-secondary education.

Education
A minimum of a 4-year bachelor’s degree is required in health or social science-related discipline, e.g., Social Work, Child and Youth Counselling, or Education, or advanced degrees in Business or Labour Studies.
Experience/Skills
- Extensive experience using statistical software and data visualization strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work professionally in a team environment.
- Experience conducting quantitative research and analyzing large data sets.
- Develops and identifies appropriate statistical and analytical methodologies for project analysis.
- Determines and advises on the most appropriate analytical approaches and data sources.
- Develops and advises on the presentation of analysis and reports to ensure findings are easily understood and conveyed.
- Establishes processes to maintain data integrity and quality.
- Aligns and maintains data collection processes with relevant metrics.
- Establishes naming and reporting standards.
- Manages and resolves data-related issues.
- Fluency in Hindi, Punjabi, or other languages would be considered an asset
