Job Skills / Requirements **Essential Job Functions:**
- Assist the Team lead with initial and ongoing job duties
- Assist the TL with site security staff and act as a resource for any issues in accordance with Paladin and client policies and procedures.
- Respond to site emergencies (alarms, medical emergencies, fires and other urgent matters)
- Prevent theft, violence or infraction of rules and regulations
- Effectively communicate all suspicious activities, concerns, issues and events to our dispatch team on behalf of our client
- Perform regular patrols within the Shopping Centre
- Report any issues directly to the Site Supervisor
- Develop strong relationships with clients and tenants
- Writing comprehensive and detailed reports
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Valid Alberta Security License or ability to obtain one
- Must be bondable
- A valid Class 5 driver's license and clean drivers abstract
- Ability to lead, plan, organize, delegate, and solve complex problems.
- Effective communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Basic computer proficiency, report-writing, and note-taking skills
- It is considered an asset to have First Aid/AED/CPR, NVCI, and PPCT training, however, this training will be provided to the successful candidate
Education Requirements (All)
High School Diploma/GED
