Job Description:
We are looking for a Loss Prevention Systems Specialist who thrives with solving technical challenges and making a real impact. In this role, you’ll be the go-to authority supporting Loss Prevention (LP) technology across all TJXC stores—ensuring smooth implementation, maintenance, and address of systems and applications. You’ll also coordinate CCTV installations for new builds, renovations, and relocations, playing a key role in keeping our stores secure and efficient. What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for forecasting, planning, coordinating, and ordering CCTV camera equipment for new and existing stores, renovation, and relocation projects
- Provides systems access and configures permissions and privileges for new and existing users in the environment of Genetec and S2
- Responsible for CCTV and other LP applications troubleshooting/performance issues resolution and triage of performance issues and technician support/service calls in partnership with IT/ Help Desk
- Partners with external vendors to coordinate the required repair, adjustments and implementation of CCTV equipment. Works with vendors to collect quotes against budgets
- Implements and partners with IT on the latest upgrades with Genetec equipment and software including coordinating all firmware updates as needed
- Partners and supports IT roadmap rollout of new CCTV initiatives and new implementations of LP technology in stores, participates in user testing, break/fix and supports decision making with Technology & Physical Security Manager
- Develops and updates vital documentation for LP Technology system integrations and upgrades that are applied by LP users (Genetec, Transaction Finder, Genetec Applications, ExacqVision, DEMs, etc.)
About You:
- Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with LP technology equipment and related systems.
- Demonstrated written, verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong digital literacy including knowledge of and ability to use computer software including Microsoft Office, databases, web-based tools, email, etc.
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills to provide solutions; ability to use prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment
- Strong problem-solving skills including analysis of information (i.e. requirements; description of problems); provide solutions with cost implications to optimally resolve issues and implement strategic solutions
- Solid project management skills including structured project methodology (i.e. determining needs, researching existing programs, etc.); preparing and maintaining detailed development plans for projects; settling project specifications; understanding and applying principles of project control to launch and lead new initiatives and innovations.
- Works efficiently and positively during times of change
- Focuses on self-development and IDP seeking out learning and growth opportunities
- Solid sense of confidentiality; requires discretion and detailed knowledge of the organization’s operations, procedures, and policies
- Knowledge of the North American retail landscape and market trends to support the development of future strategies; solid grasp of business tools and reports to make business recommendations
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
