Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our Woodhull, Illinois location!
What You Will Do
- Support plant operations
- Deliver maintenance support for capital projects.
- Maintain the condition of the plant shop and maintenance tool.
- Support Process Safety Management and location safety efforts.
- Conduct seasonal prep work including annual preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
- Ensure proper set-up, calibration, operation and preventative maintenance of equipment, machines and facilities
- Utilization of predictive maintenance tools and techniques to detect and remedy machine failures
- Create, continually update, adhere to and train preventative maintenance plans for process equipment
- Maintain detailed equipment records and prints
- Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Participate in pre-and post-mortems for annual production processes
- Participate in incident investigations
- Provide experience on failure and repair techniques during root cause analysis
- Ensure repair techniques, repair procedures and equipment specific training are documented and made available
- Assist in creation of work instructions for maintenance related tasks
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Education
- You have your High School Diploma or equivalent.
What Skills You Need
- You possess two (2) years of education and/or experience in Maintenance or related field (e.g., HVAC, Millwright, Welding, Pneumatic Controls, Hydraulics, etc.)
- You are willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: Climb and/or work in elevated areas, Stand and sit for extended periods, work outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to fifty (50) lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and lifting
- You are comfortable with technology and possess a good computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required.
- You have high diligence, can multitask, maintain an organized workplace and excellent critical thinking skills.
- You have a valid US Driver’s License
- You value working as a team, are initiative-taking, communicate concerns, and are accepting of change.
- You possess good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

What Makes You Stand Out
- Two-Year Technical or Associates Degree in Maintenance, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Electrical, or related field
- Journeyman Industrial Mechanic 433A
- Previous experience or knowledge of heating/cooling, refrigeration, security, materials handling equipment (i.e., conveyors, elevator legs, packaging equipment, etc.) or other mechanical/electrical systems
- General knowledge and/or experience with field and/or agriculture equipment (conveyors, elevator legs, packaging equipment, etc.)
