In this role, you’ll be the engine that keeps our business moving—overseeing workflows, optimizing processes, mentoring teams, and helping execute on strategic goals. Your leadership will ensure we meet our productivity, safety, and quality targets while staying true to our mission of turning waste into opportunity.

Sound good so far? Here’s what you’ll be responsible for in this role…

  • Collaborate with leadership to execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the alignment of operational goals.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and maintain seamless workflows across all departments.
  • Implement best practices for process improvement and operational effectiveness.
  • Assist in budget development and management alongside the finance team.
  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving and revenue generation.
  • Build and lead a motivated, high-performing team, promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Mentor team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Address operational challenges proactively, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Support contingency planning for any operational changes or disruptions.
  • Perform other duties as required.

We think it would be ‘#&@!’ing awesome if you have…

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field/equivalent experience.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on operations.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and operational management.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS), ISO 9001 standards, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, JIT).
  • Knowledge of production systems (MRP, ERP) and relevant software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to handle conflict resolution, employee development, and task delegation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with various manufacturing machinery and technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and handle physically demanding tasks as required.

At CMI, we’re committed to offering you the best, including:

  • A competitive salary with comprehensive benefits and performance-based increases
  • Long-term job stability
  • A supportive team environment where you can learn, grow, and advance your career
  • A strong focus on health and safety—for you and the communities we impact
