Under the general direction of the Strategy and Planning Department Manager and working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary
team, responsible for providing leadership, advisory, and facilitation services in the ongoing development, implementation and
maintenance of the corporation's enterprise planning cycle, framework, and associated processes and tools. Will act as a corporate
resource and subject matter expert related to strategy and planning in supporting senior management, Business Unit Planners and
the executive to develop and deploy Manitoba Hydro's strategy and planning processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner and support VP's, Directors and Managers throughout the enterprise planning cycle to develop plans, as Strategy is

reviewed monthly and refreshed annually.

  • Plan, develop, deploy and improve integrated frameworks and tools for enterprise planning, performance measurement and

business review processes.

  • In collaboration with Business Units, Enterprise Risk Management, and the Strategy, Risk and Enablement BU, monitors,

maintain and help improve and integrate key enterprise alignment systems such as Enterprise Performance Management,
One Plan, as well as enterprise and divisional planning processes.

  • Participates and/or leads cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams for Enterprise planning that deals with complex strategic

issues relating to the alignment of Enterprise, BU, and divisional plans to Strategy.

  • Make recommendations and undertake opportunities for innovating enterprise planning processes by leveraging data and

analytics to drive impactful decision-making and identify opportunities for automation and other advanced digital capabilities.

  • Provide oversight and guidance to ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with the enterprise's overall

governance framework and ensure adherence to enterprise governance standards and practices in all enterprise planning
activities.

  • Co-ordinates the Business Planning Community of Practice and makes recommendations to improve its effectiveness.
  • Help all employees understand their connection to Strategy through soliciting and creating content (ex. - Initiative

implementation and success stories) for our team-managed site, and collaboration with Corporate Communication and
Leadership for specific communication campaigns or materials (ex. Town Halls).
Maintains the Strategy Division SharePoint site.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a four year degree in a relevant discipline from an institution of recognized standing and five years of directly

related experience;

  • Completion of a two-year diploma in a relevant discipline from an institution of recognized standing and seven years directly

related experience;

  • An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered.
  • MBA is an asset.
  • Excellent understanding of the Manitoba Hydro's business context, regulated utility environment and the evolving energy

landscape.

  • Experience working in a strategy and/or enterprise planning role in a complex, dynamic business environment.
  • Communicator and influencer with exceptional oral, written, and graphic communication skills and the ability to distill complex

information into a compelling story.

  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal attributes with the ability to act as a thought-partner to leaders to drive the

execution of strategy through enterprise planning processes.

  • A high degree of integrity, initiative, creativity and judgment, with proven ability to work independently under broad guidelines

and minimum supervision.

  • Results driven and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, tight deadlines, and constraints, while

adapting to meet the ever-changing needs of the organization.

  • Proven demonstrable experience and knowledge of concepts, principles, standards and practices of strategic planning,

project management, change management, structured decision making, and process improvement.

Salary Range

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $47.32-$65.33 Hourly,
$90,677.86-$125,192.08 Annually.
