About the role

JOB DESCRIPTION

AAA Canada is looking for a Propulsion and Technical Support Technologist to add expertise to our team. As a member of the Customer Support team, supporting a fleet of nearly 2000 Challenger 3XX and 6XX Series business aircraft, your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities

  • Provide Challenger 3XX/6XX technical support for our external and internal customers on propulsion/engine control and APU issues.
  • Support change requests for in-service problems and support engineering and program department through the change process
  • Monitor fleet reliability, identify technical problems and implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate technical requests for aircraft fleet operators for the group
  • Prepare technical presentations and communications on topics related to your responsibilities.

Skills and qualifications

  • Good knowledge of propulsion systems, engine control and APUs
  • At least five (5) years of relevant aviation experience
  • College diploma in aircraft maintenance or a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Experience with Challenger 300/350 is a major asset
  • Good computer skills: MS Office
  • Very good communication skills in English and French
  • Must be willing to carry a cell phone 24/7 and be available to travel occasionally on short notice
  • Must be a team player, able to work effectively with colleagues and customers, have a winning attitude and be results-oriented
  • You are able to work under pressure in support situations for grounded aircraft (AOG).

Required experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
