Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Senior Manager Corporate FP&A, Company Planning you will play a vital role in leading our overall FP&A team through global planning processes, including budget, forecasting and development of our long-term strategic plan. This role is key in overseeing and reviewing the global financial consolidation of plans, setting high- level strategic targets, coordinating closely with other leaders within the FP&A and Finance team, and the management of our global planning calendar. As a key leader on the FP&A, you will be vital in setting the overall strategic direction for the company and keeping our FP&A organized and on track to meet key planning gates and achieve key deliverables.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Corporate FP&A team at Arc’teryx is responsible for providing leadership, clarity and steering to the FP&A team, as well as the overall organization on key financial planning and forecasting activities. The team also leads the monthly and quarterly global reporting on business performance, both internally and externally. Through review of historic financials, variance analysis and KPI tracking, the team advises on key areas of performance improvement and strategic direction for the company.

If you were the Senior Manager Corporate FP&A, Company Planning, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

    • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Leading all aspects of the corporate financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, including review and consolidation of plans, liaising with greater FP&A team to understand plans. Setting and communication of financial targets, buildout of presentation templates and materials
    • Financial Calendar Management: Leading development, management and communication of the corporate financial calendar, ensuring seamless collaboration across multiple teams to meet Global deadlines and key deliverables
    • Long Term Strategic Planning: Being a key stakeholder in our long term strategic planning process, leading the development and maintenance of long-term strategic planning model, partnering closely with Strategy team in build out of plan, creation and communication of financial targets. Overseeing enterprise priorities and tie-in into our global financial plan
    • Process & Systems Optimization: Driving improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Being a key liaison to parent company, Amer, in management of timelines and planning processes
    • Being a key contact for our FP&A and Finance team, and business partners on financial planning processes providing guidance and support where necessary
    • Owning and / or reviewing of financial modeling where necessary to support new or transformational initiatives

Are you our next Senior Manager Corporate FP&A - Company Planning:

    • You have 8-10+ years proven experience in Finance and/or Financial Planning & Analysis role
    • You have a bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or equivalent and ideally have your CPA, CMA, CA, CFA, or MBA
    • You have excellent communication skills, and experience leading Finance and FP&A teams where you were required to communicate and lead key planning processes
    • You have experience managing and developing calendars with multiple, overlapping priorities and are able to understand how concurrent planning processes impact one another
    • You have exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to zoom in and out for a more strategic perspective
    • You have advanced analytical skills with a strong aptitude for MS Excel and creation of financial models
    • You are highly proficient in accounting systems and business intelligence (BI) tools
    • You can prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
    • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can collaborate with individuals across departments, organizations, and countries
    • You are a pro-active, self-starter, and seek to improve and make processes more streamlined and efficient
    • You can coordinate and lead projects to completion
    • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
    • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
    • You can balance autonomy and collaboration
    • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement

$125,000 - $172,000 a year

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$125,000 - CAD$172,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
