Cameco Fuel Manufacturing is seeking a Calandria/Reactor Components Operator to join our team. The Operator will be in the Calandria area supporting refurbishment contracts and assisting with ongoing projects.
Position and Responsibilities
Located in the Cobourg plant and reporting to the Reactor Components Coordinator, the position typically involves the following activities:
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow safety procedure and company policies.
- Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Be trained and qualified to multiple production processes.
- Work shifts as required – including split shifts.
- Work overtime as required.
- Lift and carry tubes (22 kg) – note: all lifts require 2 operators.
- Complete other tasks as requested by Supervisor, Lead Hand or designate.
- Must be reliable and detail-oriented to perform hands-on tasks.
- Ideal candidate will follow established procedures to ensure products meet quality standards and production goals.
There may be a requirement to work through a portion of summer shut down periods to ensure the projects are completed on time.
Education and Qualifications
- Relatable work experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
