PARTS ADVISOR
As a key member of the Wood Wheaton Honda team, the Parts Advisor brings to life the Automotive Service Experience for the Customer. Reporting to the Parts Manager, this position is responsible for creating great first impressions and guiding customers through the parts they need to keep their vehicles running in top form. The Parts Advisor is a product knowledge expert and builds strong relationships with customers in an effort to achieve sales targets and to ensure all customer loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers on the phone or in the Dealership, promptly and in a courteous manner
- Ability to monitor bins and determine which parts need reordering.
- Ability to match customers' needs with appropriate parts or services.
- Keep customer updated on their order status and ensure customer is kept informed of any backorders.
- Review details of service/repair invoice with the customer to gain their understanding of all services provided.
- Knowledge of and ability to monitor inventory in order to determine which parts require special ordering.
- Knowledge of parts counter procedures, such as requiring prepayment for special orders, etc.
- Ensure all documentation/paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Understand and sells in-‐dealership manufacturer service promotions and is knowledgeable about new features, specials and updates.
- Ability to monitor lost sales for inventory control.
- Ability to assist the Parts Manager in analyzing and resolving discrepancies between computer inventory and actual parts on hand.

- A fundamental understanding of automotive mechanical fundamentals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all departments of the dealership and customers.
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Computer skills.
- Organized and pays attention to detail.
- Is able to work independently, managing their time and work flow.
- Must be alert to sales opportunities by taking the time to ask customers questions and provide information about parts and services.
- Must communicate clearly in person and on the phone and must be willing to initiate calls to customers to give and receive information.
Education and Experience:
- Grade 12 High School or equivalent.
- Relavent Experience in a similar role.
- Clean drivers abstract.
