Position Description
The Senior Procurement Analyst plays a critical role in overseeing the complete procurement cycle to guarantee the timely and cost-efficient delivery of materials essential for production. This role involves assessing material needs, liaising with suppliers, tracking inventory levels, and addressing supply chain challenges to ensure seamless manufacturing operations.
The primary objective of this position is to enhance procurement effectiveness, boost supplier performance, and synchronize material availability with production schedules, all while upholding quality standards and cost objectives. Serving as a key intermediary between internal teams and external vendors, the Senior Procurement Analyst facilitates smooth material flow and drives overall operational excellence.
- Monitor supplier inventory and work-in-progress to align with production requirements
- Review MRP reports daily to coordinate supply quantities and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Address and resolve supplier-related issues, including product quality concerns and delivery delays.
- Proactively manage order discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure timely transfer of materials from third-party warehouses to the main facility.
- Analyze monthly demand forecasts and issue blanket purchase orders for long lead-time items.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and communicate any changes in lead times or pricing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess and confirm material needs.
- Support the team by assisting with related tasks and responsibilities as required.

Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry, with extensive expertise in sourcing a wide range of raw materials and packaging components.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical, forecasting, and negotiation skills.
- Experienced in developing and tracking KPIs.
- Proficiency in reporting and data analysis.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel.
- Strong understanding of commodities.
- Working knowledge of food industry standards such as HACCP.
Education
- Post-secondary degree in a related field.
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Designation.
