Aspen View Public Schools, with a division office located in the town of Athabasca, is a rural school division providing diverse and innovative programming to students in a number of communities. The division is unique in that it is surrounded by a multitude of lakes, golf courses and trails that appeal to an active, outdoor lifestyle while still being in close proximity to larger urban centers.
Many schools within Aspen View are geographically located to allow beginning teachers to meet the requirements of the Northern Student Teacher Bursary and/or Northern Alberta Development Council bursaries
H.A. Kostash School, located in the town of Smoky Lake, provides educational programming to approximately 395 students from Early Learning to Grade 12.
H.A. Kostash School is recruiting a part time (0.5 FTE) junior high science and physical education teacher. Additional information may be obtained from Brenda Mykytiuk, Principal, 780-656-3820.
This position will commence with the start of the 2025-2026 school year on August 25, 2025.

A current criminal record check including vulnerable sector check and child intervention check, dated within the past six (6) months, must be provided prior to an employment contract being issued.
